Work from home

Being productive does not mean you have to go to the office every weekdays and work for 8 hours. Being productive can be done anywhere. We have to thank to the internet. The internet has change a lot of ways in doing things. Saving your money, paying your bills, socializing, researching does not need to go out from your house. Just sit in front of your computer and just as easy as click your mouse and type some keys.

When people are still without kids, it is very easy to go anywhere and do anything. But when you have kids and you live in a country where it is much better and cheaper to take care your own kids, going to work everyday become an issue. Being a stay at home mom, work at home mom or work from home people are desired in these days. However, that issue can be solved with all of simple technology.

The easiest way is to fill some surveys online and get paid. Some companies will pay you for doing a survey. The survey can be vary, from baby product until cellphone. Each survey is different. Some can take longer than others, some can pay you more than others. Every time you finish filling a survey, you will get points and you can redeem the points after certain points. Let me know if you are interested to get money by doing survey online, I will send you the invitation. Just drop me your email.

There is also an online service, where many people in the world offer a job to anybody who can give a good price and a matching skills. It usually for a certain time job, like a project. People post a job, you apply to the job, the employer will assess your skills with the job, and hire you if you are the right people. You do your work and the employer will pay you after you finish it. Each of you can leave a feedback to let others now how good you are as a employer or as an employee. If you are interested, drop me your email, I will send you the invitation as well.

How to get a good deal on feeding your baby ?

Of course the answer is breastfeeding ! It is free, and it is nutritious, all the nutritious that your baby needs. Breastfeeding is the best way to feed your baby. Your milk will always change to your baby’s nutrition need. There are a lot of advantage on breastfeeding :
(emotionally) you will bond with your baby, you will feel you are a good mother that you feed your baby with your milk, etc, etc
(budget) It is 100% free.

However, not every mom can breastfeed their babies, include me ! so there are no other choice, unless baby formula. But baby formula in the market will consume your pocket. so what is the answer for this ?

When you found out that you are pregnant, prepare yourself to breastfeed !
Prepare your emotional, build your confidence, telling yourself that breastfeed is the best for your baby, telling yourself that breastfeeding is also good for yourself (woman who is breastfeeding has less chance to get breast cancer).

Prepare your body for breastfeeding. Do not forget to eat nutritious food when you are breastfeeding. Stock good food and easy to make at home. Ask your spouse to shop and cook for you. Ask your mother or mother-in-law to prepare nutritious food for you. Take at least 2 glasses of milk and prenatal vitamin. Do not forget to drink water or liquid. It will reduce your chance to dehydrate because of breastfeeding.

Prepare breast cream to put on your breast or nipple in case there is a crack or else, prepare a good fit bra for breastfeed, prepare a comfortable cloth for breastfeed, prepare a good pillow to support (optional), prepare breast pump and its accessories (optional).

And than if you want only to breastfeed your baby until she is 6 months old, you need to prepare the baby formula since you are pregnant ! Sign up to many baby formula companies to get free baby formula sample, coupon, checks, gifts and else. For Similac, sign-up here, for enfamil, sign- up here, for Gerber, sign-up here

Do not forget to ask to your doctor if your doctor has baby formula, and the most important thing is ask your pediatrician when you visit the doctor with your baby even at that time you are exclusively breastfeeding. When you want to introduce the bottle and baby formula, you already had enough stock. You also have a choice to pick a store brand baby formula, like Parent’s Choice.

Type of Residence Card Status Amount (per person)
United States Permanent Resident Card Granted! – Waiting for payment of processing fee $879
Processing fees Included
Total $879
Although the Diversity Visa participation was free, the law and regulations require to every diversity visa winner to pay a visa processing fee of $879. The Diversity Visa(Green Card) is guaranteed upon receiving the payment.
The per person fee for each Diversity Visa is $879, payable in U.S. dollars or equivalent of your local currency. This $879 fee is the only fee a winner needs to pay throughout the entire relocation process.
Accompanying family members(wife/husband, fiancee, brothers, sisters, childrens, cousins) may be included in the program and their visas will be provided at the same time with yours so you can travel/move together in the same time. However the fees must be paid per person and each member(e.g wife, brother, parents, childrens, cousin) must pay $879. There is no discount for childrens.

Please note that you are allowed to take with you as many family members you want. However for each person you must pay an additional amount of U.S $879
For example if you decide to move in the United States with your wife and a kid the total fee is US$879(your fee) + US$879(your wife) + US$879(your kid) = US$2637.

PURPOSE: The U.S. Department of State uses the fee payment primarily to process your visa related documents and verify your identity.
Visa Payment processing instructions
The fees must be paid using Western Union money transfer and will be processed by the U.S. embassy in the United Kingdom.
Western Union is a leading provider of International person-to-person money transfer. With more than 150 years experience and 245,000 Agent locations in over 200 countries and territories, Western Union is recognized for sending money quickly, reliably, and safety.
You can send the payment in U.S. dollars or equivalent of your local currency.

Click on the following link to find the nearest Western Union agency and send the fees payment :
Find Western Union Agency
If you are unable to find a Western Union agency near your location, you may ask a relative or friend to pay the fee on your behalf.

After you find a Western Union agency you need to go with cash money, an identity card(e.g passport or national identity card) and send the payment to the U.S. embassy agent address in United Kingdom:

Name : Leonard Deneault
Address: 30 Leicester Square
London, WC2H 7LA
United Kingdom

The payment must be sent to the above U.S. embassy agent address in United Kingdom because the U.S. Department of State decided this based on the diplomatic relations with your country.
You must declare it a personal transfer (you will tell to the agent from Western Union that you are sending money to a relative or friend of yours), otherwise you will not be able to send the money.

After you send the payment follow the next steps
a) Email copy/scan of the Western Union receipt at dv@usgreencard-org.com
b) Email at dv@usgreencard-org.com with the following details (you can find them on the money transfer receipt):

1) Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN):
2) Exact sender’s name on file with Western Union:
3) Exact sender’s address on file with Western Union:
4) Exact receiver’s name on file with Western Union:
5) Amount sent:

Then wait for the confirmation that the payment was received.

Within 72 hours, you will receive a confirmation via email with your Case Number/Confirmation Number and exact date and time(approx. 2 days) of the final interview. Upon successful interview you will receive your documents and travel information to move in the United States. Under no circumstances your visa status won’t be affected by the interview.

Please Note!

The payment must be sent via Western Union no later than September 28, 2011. You are strongly encouraged not to wait until the last day to pay. Heavy demand may result in system delays.
Under no circumstances can diversity visas be issued or adjustments approved after this date, nor can family members obtain diversity visas to follow-to-join the principal applicant in the U.S. after this date.
The visa processing fee(US $879) is mandatory for each person and the U.S. Government doesn’t offer any discount, loan or exception.
You have been selected winner of the Diversity Visa lottery so the visa is guaranteed upon receiving the payment fees on time.
A hard copy of this letter will be mailed to your postal address upon receiving the payment fees.
Please be advised that even through you are a winner of Diversity Visa your Case Number/Confirmation Number will be provided only after you send the payment confirmation of the fees. Please do not contact us to ask for the Case Number/Confirmation Number.

If it would be necessary to contact the U.S. Department of state YOU MUST ALWAYS REFER TO YOUR NAME. The email is dv@usgreencard-org.com

====================
Do not fall into this scam. I tell you why this scam.
1. the email is coming with the extension .com (means commercial). Everything that related with the US government mostly comes with the extension .gov
2. It is impossible to use WesternUnion as money transfer tool especially with personal name. The government usually ask you to send the money direct to their account.
3. It does not related between US government for green card and their embassy in UK. The guy who will scam you, he lives in UK, with the name that clearly stated in the email. Once you transfer the money, you will lose it. Especially you give all the information to this guy about the sender name, sender address. This is the information that this guy needs to get the money in UK.
4. US government will not ask you to lie to Western Union to mention that you are his relatives to transfer the money through Western Union.
Be careful !

Bagaimana Menghadapi Headhunter ?

Apabila headhunter melakukan phone interview, jangan menganggap remeh phone interview. Jangan menganggap itu adalah obrolan pembuka/pengenal. Tetap pandang phone interview sebagai interview resmi, sebelum interview tatap muka. Jangan lupa untuk follow-up dengan interviewer, tetapi ingat, jangan terlalu agresif dalam mem-follow-up.

How to handle Headhunter ?
Become a headhunter is never easy. It can be seen by how much money is given to the headhunter to find the right person for the company. To make it easy, it needs openness, honesty, communication between candidates, headhunter and the company (client). Headhunter acts like match-maker to find the right candidate for the company for mutual benefit and long-term relationship.

To achieve all the goals, the headhunter must corporate together with the candidate. For example, is to appreciate the interview. Coming on-time during the interview give a good signal to the headhunter, and vice versa. It is always good for you to give a lot of information about yourself, such as your availability, your skills, your interest to the headhunter. The headhunter will easily match yours with the needs they have.

If you find the job does not match with you, tell the headhunter about that. And give a reference about someone that might match with that job to the headhunter always bring a good plus for you. The headhunter usually remember what you have done for them, and will call you as soon as possible they find the match job for you.

Do not forget to do your own homework, to do the research about your job and the company that is interested in you. If you found the headhunter is interested in you, do not make you feel comfortable, by act not ready when the interview come, show your laziness, and act unprofessionally.

Always keep in mind to build a good relationship with the headhunter, even you know you do not have a need to find a job in a short time, even years. Have a good relationship with the headhunter always give you benefit in the future.

Most people think that the headhunter is only mediator, that makes them careless. They started to talk too much about themselves. This does not work. The interview usually involved many people. If they find your information is incorrect, they prefer to let you down than let their clients down. You must remember that the headhunters are prefer to keep a good relationship with their clients than any candidates.

Business Social Network
Businesses are increasingly using business social networks as a means of growing their circle of business contacts and promoting themselves online. In general these networking tools allow professionals to build up their circle of business partners they trust. By connecting these business partners the networking tools allow individuals to search for certain people within their network. Through introductions the members of these tools then can get in contact with new prospective business partners. Since businesses are expanding globally, social networks make it easier to keep in touch with other contacts around the world. Specific cross-border e-commerce platforms and business partnering networks now make globalization accessible also for small and medium sized companies.

Professionals who wish to leverage their presentation skills with the urgency of physically being present attend general and exclusive events. Many professionals tend to prefer face-to-face networking over online based networking because the potential for higher quality relationships are possible. Many individuals also prefer face-to-face because people tend to prefer actually knowing and meeting who they intend to do business with.

Face to face business networking is often facilitated by referral networking clubs.

A professional network service (or, in an internet context, simply professional network) is a type of social network service that is focused solely on interactions and relationships of a business nature rather than including personal, nonbusiness interactions. Notable examples include LinkedIn.

Employment Website
Many employment websites are designed to allow employers to post job requirements for a position to be filled and are commonly known as job boards. Other employment sites offer employer reviews, career and job-search advice describe different job descriptions or employers. Through a job website a prospective employee can locate and fill out a job application or submit resumes over the Internet for the advertised position.

Nearly all major corporations use some form of Applicant Tracking Systems to handle job applications and to manage resume data. The principal function of an ATS is to provide a central location and database for a company’s recruitment efforts. ATS are built to better assist management of resumes and applicant information. Functionality of an ATS is not limited to data mining and collection, ATS applications in the recruitment industry include the ability automate the Recruitment Process via a defined workflow. Another benefit of an applicant tracking system is analyzing and coordinating recruitment efforts – managing the conceptual structure known as Human Capital. A corporate career site or company specific job board module may be offered, allowing companies to provide opportunities to internal candidates prior to external recruitment efforts. Candidates may be identified via preexisting data or through information garnered through other means. This data is typically stored for search and retrieval processes.

Job Search Engine
The success of jobs search engines in bridging the gap between jobseekers and employers has spawned thousands of job sites. These sites range from broad all-purpose job boards, to niche sites that serve various audiences, geographies, and industries. Many industry experts are encouraging jobseekers to concentrate on industry specific sector sites. With the increase in popularity of niche sites, other sites have begun to rank them in order of quality.

Many jobs search engines and jobs boards encourage users to post their resume and contact details. While this is attractive for the site operators (who sell access to the resume bank to headhunters and recruiters), job-seekers exercise caution in uploading personal information, since they have no control over where their resume will eventually be seen. Their resume may be viewed by a current employer or, worse, by fraudsters who may use information from it to amass and sell personal contact information, or even perpetrate identity theft. Noted as monster.com.sg, jobsdb.com.sg, jobstreet.com.sg

Looking through the classifieds in newspapers, such as The Straits Times, etc.

Employment Agency or Recruiter
Using a private or public employment agency or recruiter. Since the beginning of the twentieth century, every developed country has created a public employment agency as a way to combat unemployment and help people find work. An executive-search firm is a type of employment agency that specializes in recruiting executive personnel for companies in various industries. This term may apply to job-search-consulting firms who charge job candidates a fee and who specialize in mid-to-upper-level executives. Some third-party recruiters work on their own, while others operate through an agency, acting as direct contacts between client companies and the job candidates they recruit. They can specialize in client relationships only (sales or business development), in finding candidates (recruiting or sourcing), or in both areas. Most recruiters tend to specialize in either permanent, full-time, direct-hire positions, or in contract positions, but occasionally in both.

Outsourced recruiters typically work for multiple clients at once, on a third-party broker basis, and are variously called headhunters, search firms/agents, agency recruiters, or recruitment consultants. Contract recruiters tend to move around between multiple companies, working at each one for a short stint as needed for specific hiring purposes. The responsibility is to filter candidates as per the requirements of each client. You can find many employment agencies in Indonesia or Brunei. They can charge you for fee in the beginning or after you get the job.

Job Fair
A job fair is a fair or exposition for employers, recruiters and schools to meet with prospective job seekers. Expos usually include company or organization tables or booths where resumes can be collected and business cards can be exchanged. Often sponsored by career centers, job fairs provide a convenient location for students to meet employers and perform first interviews. Electronic job fairs offer the same convenience online. The difference with an electronic job fair is that the employers and job seekers meet each other one-on-one by logging on to a website that hosts the electronic job fair. Like a traditional job fair, electronic job fairs are held on specific days during specific hours. These events are live and fully interactive.

Job fairs are good places to meet many company representatives from corporations of all industries and sizes during a short period of time. Every job fair has a set of similar, basic elements or processes that require your attention. Job fair networking can be generally described as the process of interacting with, obtaining contact details of, and getting to know corporate recruiters.

What you need to know about Brunei

The total population of Brunei Darussalam is approximately 428,000 (2010) of which around 130,000 live in the capital Bandar Seri Begawan. The government provides for all medical services and subsidizes rice and housing. All Brunei citizens have access to free health care from public hospitals.
The official language of the nation is Malay, even English is also widely spoken.

Islam is the official religion of Brunei, and the sultan is the head of the religion in the country. Two-thirds of the population adheres to Islam.

The sale and public consumption of alcohol is banned. Foreigners and non-Muslims are allowed to bring in 12 cans of beer and two bottles of other alcohol (e.g., wine or spirits; no distinction is made for alcohol content). This limit used to apply to every entry; in 2007, however, this was changed to one limit every 48 hours. After the introduction of prohibition in the early 1990s, all pubs and nightclubs were forced to close.

There are four local newspapers in Brunei:
Pelita Brunei – A free bi-weekly Malay-language newspaper
Borneo Bulletin – The sultanate’s first English-language daily
Media Permata – The sole Malay-language daily
The Brunei Times – An English-language broadsheet daily

As for mass media, the Brunei government owns and operates six television channels with the introduction of digital TV using DVB-T (RTB 1, RTB 2, RTB 3 (HD), RTB 4, RTB 5 and RTB New Media (Game portal) and five radio stations (National FM, Pilihan FM, Nur Islam FM, Harmony FM and Pelangi FM). A private company has made cable television available (Astro-Kristal) as well as one private radio station, Kristal FM.

The government regulates the immigration of foreign labor out of concern it might disrupt Brunei’s society. Work permits for foreigners are issued only for short periods and must be continually renewed. Despite these restrictions, foreigners make up a significant portion of the work force.

The Brunei Government actively encourages more foreign investment. Companies in Brunei must either be incorporated locally or registered as a branch of a foreign company and must be registered with the Registrar of Companies. Public companies must have a minimum of seven shareholders. Private companies must have a minimum of two but not more than 50 shareholders. At least half of the directors in a company must be residents of Brunei.

Education in Singapore

In Singapore, English is the first language learned by half the children by the time they reach preschool age and becomes the primary medium of instruction by the time they reach primary school.

Most schools commonly follow the kind of grading system awarded at the Singapore-Cambridge GCE “O” level examination, which a student sits at the end of four or five years of secondary education, taking at least 6 subjects. The level of achievement in each subject is indicated by the grade obtained, with A1 being the highest achievable grade and F9 the lowest:

* A1/A2 (Distinction)
* B3/B4 (Merit)
* C5/C6 (Credit/Pass)
* D7 (Sub-Pass/fail, that is, passing at a lower standard in the exam or fail)
* E8/F9 (Fail)

A student’s overall academic performance is measured through several points scoring system (such as the L1R5, L1B5 and L1R4 scoring system) depending on which type of post-secondary institution a student is intending to apply for. Each grade has a point value respective to it, for example, with grade A1 being 1 point, A2 being 2 points, and B3 being 3 points. Thus, the fewer the points obtained, the better the score.

Singapore currently has two full-fledged public universities (National University of Singapore & Nanyang Technological University), and two full-fledged private universities (SMU & UniSIM). However, UniSIM accepts only adult learners in general, so A-level and Diploma students may apply only to SMU, NUS, NTU, several foreign university offshore campuses, and more than ten other private tertiary institutions offering undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.

Parents are seeking additional help at home to improve their children’s grade and to empower them with the latest practical education strategies to achieve their full potential academically.

Meritocracy is a basic political ideology in Singapore and a fundamental principle in the education system which aims to identify and groom bright young students for positions of leadership. The system places a great emphasis on academic performance in grading students and granting their admission to special programmes and universities, though this has raised concerns about breeding elitism. Academic grades are considered as objective measures of the students’ ability and effort, irrespective of their social background. Having good academic credentials is seen as the most important factor for the students’ career prospects in the job market, and their future economic status.

Education policy in Singapore is designed to ensure that no child is left behind in education even if they do not have the financial capacity to pay school fees. Therefore, school fees in public schools are heavily subsidized, so that students pay as little as SGD 13 for fees. In addition, there are many possible assistance schemes from either the government or welfare organizations to help students cope with finances during their studies. Some of these are listed below.

Critics of the education system, including some parents, state that the education system is too specialized, rigid, and elitist. There have also been complaints about excessive educational streaming at a young age. The best students are streamed into the best and normal classes, while the others are streamed into the foundation class, where teachers usually allow them to get worse, since they are part of the “ungifted” class. This ability-driven education has since been a key feature behind Singapore’s success in education, and was responsible for bringing drop-out rates down sharply.
